ANGEL BLAKE is the new musical enterprise of ex-THE CROWN guitarist Marko Tervonen. It’s his brand-new solo project, his very own baby. It started as a challenge, a means of finding new ways in his musical life. Something new and fresh, something to make him breathe. Whatever happens with ANGEL BLAKE, it’s all in Marko’s hands. Marko recorded all the instruments in the studio, except where stated otherwise. For the vocals he brought in none less than his old mate Tony Jelencovich (ex-TRANSPORT LEAGUE), whose cool rock voice deepens the intrinsic harmonic feeling of the songs. While THE CROWN was all about the speed and the aggression, ANGEL BLAKE delivers heavy, melancholic songs with catchy hooks. The sound is influenced and inspired by bands such as METALLICA, PARADISE LOST, DANZIG and SENTENCED, spiced up with some heavy MORBID ANGEL twists. Definitely a unique sound!
