With the present "Herz" EP, HENKE close their first creative cycle following the release of the "Vom A Zum F" EP and the highly successful album "Seelenfuetterung" in 2011. This new EP features the two previously unreleased tracks "Herz" and "Orangenschiffchen", a live version of "Weil Ich Es Kann" plus an impressive cover of the David Bowie classic "Helden" (the German lyrics version of "Heroes"). Both musically and vocally, HENKE cling tightly to the original here and use exactly the same German lyrics that we know from Mr. Bowie himself. Nevertheless, HENKE prove their originality through their very special interpretation of this iconic song - the lyrics became a duet between a man and a woman, and some dynamic ingredients were added too. While Oswald Henke recites the lyrics whispery, Sonja Kraushofer (COMA DIVINE, L'Ame Immortelle) takes over the female part with its powerful and highly intense vocals. The result is a creation of its own: simply "Helden" by HENKE. The EP title track "Herz" is a very emotional piano ballad which proves that HENKE are capable of mastering the more gentle tones just the same, while "Orangenschiffchen" is a playful jewel that can't be crammed in any drawer at all... The EP is completed by a powerful live rendition of "Weil Ich Es Kann" from HENKE's album debut "Seelenfuetterung".
