To celebrate the recent signing of Liverpool crossover unit SSS to a worldwide deal with Prosthetic Records, the band issue a special, mega limited 3 track 7” vinyl on November 4th. The band will perform at the Damnation Festival in Leeds on November 2nd.
Formed in Liverpool in 2005, SSS (Short Sharp Shock) are an uncompromising crossover outfit with three albums on Earache Records already under their belts, alongside years of venomous live shows and an urgent socio-political message that is more important today than it ever was.
With a background that is deeply rooted within the UK hardcore underground, SSS truly embody the 'crossover' tag; bringing an aggressive hardcore attitude, punk/crust defiance, metal precision and grindcore's raw intensity. The band's gritty style draws from such heavyweights as Discharge, DRI, Napalm Death, Infest, Terrorizer and Motorhead. Nonplussed as always; the enraged lyrical content of SSS rails against a misanthropic modern age whilst never losing that self-effacing sarcasm that can cut the self-righteous to the quick. Here is a band that asks you to finally open your eyes and look around.
To celebrate the signing, Prosthetic will issue a special, mega limited 7" by the band on November 2nd to coincide with the appearance of SSS at this year's Damnation festival in Leeds. Entitled "MANIPULATED LIVING" and featuring three new recordings exclusive to this vinyl, this is a one-time pressing of 500 copies. Once it's sold out - it's dead. After their upcoming performance at the Damnation Festival, the band head out on the road at the start of 2014 for an extensive UK tour with Gama Bomb before returning to the studio to record their new album for Prosthetic. SSS have also been confirmed to play the prestigious Temples Festival in Bristol in May.
