DESCRIPTION

Finally! After having the eyes of the whole metal world – especially the progressive metal community –upon them with their 2004 debut “Back To Times Of Splendor”, which offered an amazing journey through passion, triumph and tragedy, DISILLUSION are back! Entitled “Gloria”, their sophomore album sees these Leipzig artists walk the edges of metal music with the phantasmagoric security of a dreamwalker. 18 months it took DISILLUSION to write and record “Gloria”. Tha album was mastered in Portland by Grammy collector Adam Ayan (NINE INCH NAILS, A PERFECT CIRCLE).
But that’s not all: “Gloria“ is incredible. A concrete block. A massive wall. Huge music with a huge character, it’s an effective mix of pulsating, marching rhythms with dramatic and disturbing, yet liberating quiet parts. DISILLUSION have dismissed their past dream world and taken a huge step forward. Bursting with energy, beautiful, powerful and always unpredictable, the band’s visions are turned into music. The listener is engulfed in an emotional maelstrom of rage, fear and passion, which is celebrated with such cynical nonchalance, something eerie and menacing must be lurking underneath.
“Gloria” is a true event, bold in its execution and ground breaking in its essence!
