Ravage is a young, energetic, talented and experienced heavy metal band hailing from Boston MA. The band was formed back in 1996 by vocalist Al Ravage, and guitarist Eli Joe Firicano. After numerous line-up changes and years spent perfecting the band's sound - a unique and seemless blend of early 80's style NWOBHM, late 80's thrash, and 90's power metal - Ravage finally solidified it's line-up with the addition of guitarist Nick Izzo, bassist Howie 'The Mosh Pig' Snow, and drummer George 'GTB' Bellofatto. Ravage's first studio recording, the self-released 'Curse Of Heaven' EP was issued in 2003 to rave reviews internationally. Ravage followed up with the well-recieved 'Spectral Rider' full-length CD 2005 released on Germany's Karthago Records. The band then unleashed it's live assault on the masses with local gigs in support of such well known metal acts as METAL CHURCH, OVERKILL, MELIAH RAGE, LIZZY BORDEN and Alex Skolnick of TESTAMENT. In 2006 Ravage traveled to Germany and played The Swordbrother's festival in Andernach with classic metalers ATTACKER and DEADLY BLESSING before returning home to work on the band's latest full-length.
Ravage's latest offering, the highly anticipated full-length entitled 'The End Of Tomorrow', is a 12 song tour de force combining the strong song-writing of the band's previous releases with a clear, crisp, and ultra-powerful modern production. With the new recording evidencing musical leaps and bounds in both song-writing and production, Ravage set out to find a cover artist who would do justice to their work. The band soon announced that they had secured the talents of the one and only master of metal cover art Ed Repka - best known for his work with MEGADETH and DEATH. Ravage then signed with California-based Metal Blade Records to release the new CD. Ravage's new album seamlessly intertwines the sounds of New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, late 80's American Thrash Metal and late 90's European Powermetal to showcase the band's signature style. The album is sure to be enjoyed by metal maniacs young and old as it blends the soaring vocal and guitar melodies of Iron Maiden and Helloween with the raw power of thrashers like Testament and Kreator, presented in a crisply modern production-style courtesy of producer Peter Rutcho, the mastermind behind the band VOMITRON. "The End Of Tomorrow" is only the beginning for Ravage, who are only in their mid-20's despite having played together for over 10 years!
