From its earliest beginnings in 2003, the 3-piece line up hailing from Manchester of John Dower, Paul Wilkinson and Paul Tarbuck gained the reputation on the live circuit as an ‘ear shatteringly loud bulldozer’. Their unique sound attracted the Damnation Festival organizers who booked them to create the hardcore opening they wanted for their first ever Festival. With a sound that cannot easily be pigeonholed they are a refreshing mix of old school and death metal, attracting fans from all areas of the metal scene. Allerjen have shared the stage with such giants as Sepultura, Amen, Man Must Die, Skindred, Evile, Omnium Gatherum and Forever Never (Securing 7 dates in the North of England on FN’s UK tour). In 2010, the band played a handful of shows whilst behind the scenes they determined the direction they wanted the band to take. This resulted in the addition of an extra guitarist, Audie Harrison. With this new 4-piece line-up in place the band turned their focus on to writing and recording their new album ‘Equilibrium’ which musically shows the band’s evolvement and new genre busting material. Their live shows still remain full of the passion and enthusiasm they are renowned for and are proof that an unwavering dedication to craft and a pure artistic vision can result in a powerful musical statement.
