DESCRIPTION
Recorded in September 2007 at CB-studios and mixed and mastered at Tue Madsen’s famous Antfarm Studio,Crocell have produced a record that has arrived with a massive, old-school sound. While wrapping up the production of the album and finding the perfect cover artist, Crocell continued to play gigs in Denmark (supporting The Burning and Scamp, among others), receiving rave reviews lauding the band for their raw energy, passion, technical proficiency and varied song writing. Reviewing a show, Danishmetal.dk stated: “Crocell performed their songs like a B-52 bomber delivering its lethal arsenal of cluster bombs!Crocell’s music is built on a solid base of Swedish-style death and thrash (The Haunted, Grave, Bloodbath), yet they manage to deviate from that particular path and write songs like “Winter is Coming” which are more reminiscent of early-day Katatonia. This gives the album a sense of completeness and allows singer Magnus Jørgensen to explore a wider range of emotions in lyrics focused on the issues of remembrance, nepenthe, and the search for the unknown and the incomprehensible.
