DESCRIPTION

Karnak was born in 1993, mixing classical atmospheres of death metal, blended together with progressive components, with influences coming from forerunners like Pestilence, Death, Atheist and Voivoid. As time passed, Karnak became more and more intense, and were more and more influenced by heavier stuff like Deicide, Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation. The band then recorded their debut “Perverted”., which was then followed by the 2000 album “Melodies of Sperm Composed”, recorded at Gabriele Ravaglia’s Fear Studio and promoted worldwide by 12th Planet. Unfortunately 12th Planet dissolved and a passage of inactivity followed. The band still growing and now fusing the two brutal and technical influence of yore to bring us something more akin to Meshuggah, with the brutality of Nile, Suffocation and Morbid Angel and the dynamism of Pestilence. In 2010, following stage appearances with Decapitated and Pyogenesis in their time, the band release their third opus “Dismemberment”.
