Originally formed in the late summer of 2006 as "Goretexx". After releasing a rehearsal tape and a demo CDr "Rotting" in 2007 Roope took over Lauri's place on drums and the current name was taken to use. Some gigs followed and one of them resulted in a live demo "Ritual Exhumation" that put together all of the Goretexx songs. An attempt was made to capture the three new songs in studio, but due to lack of a rehearsal place a satisfying result wasn't achieved. After releasing the "In Death" demo in the summer of 2010, Gorephilia returns to showcase its talents with twenty-eight minutes of brutality. Six putrid slabs of Death Metal owe as much to old Finnish death legends as they do to prime-time Morbid Angel and Sadistic Intent. Gorephilia's darkness-soaked brand of death metal is in full-force and "Ascend to Chaos" represents their true introduction to the world.
