If Debbie Harry and Devo met and fell in love at a punk squat, then plotted to create a hybrid band in their likeness and image, they would be The Epoxies! From their sound laboratory in Portland, Oregon, The Epoxies transport us back to a time when there was not a distinction between punk rock and new wave. Led by the spastically melodic vocals of Roxy Epoxie, the band blends the traditional tools of punk rock (guitar, bass, and drums) with vintage monophonic synthesizers!
On their second full length, The Epoxies command us to Stop The Future. If the thirteen songs on this album are not enough to bring you to the other side, then certainly the bands live show will. Fog machines, laser tunnels, and strobe lights work in unison as the band, dressed in vinyl and wrapped in electrical tape, pump out dance punk rock that stimulates something instinctual deep in the brain stem which will not allow you to stand still!
