Born in Eskilstuna, Sweden in 1978, Kristoffer studied piano for six years until giving it up at the age of 13. Immediately changed over to drums and bass guitar and started taking bass lessons at the age of 14. Went on to study electric bass, double bass, classical vocals and music design. He joined Pain of Salvation in 1995 and recorded the first album (Entropia) in 1997 and played all over the world for over 8 years.
In total recorded 6 albums, one single and one DVD after leaving the band in January 2006.
Later he also appeared on the second DVD of PoS, on the tour documentary filmed during the first leg of the European tour in 2005.
He moved to The Netherlands in 2003, where he still lives. Kristoffer has been working as a session musician since 2005, recording and touring with bands and artists such as: Neal Morse (US), Lana Lane (US), Damian Wilson Band (UK), DIAL (NL), For All We Know (NL), Omnia (NL / UK), Harmony (S), Bert Heerink (NL), 11'th Hour (NL), Epysode (BE), Dark Suns (DE), The Shadow Theory, The Consortium Project and several more... Fragile, dark, melancholic and soothing is the theme as his newest solo album RUST takes us on a sentimental journey through memories and dreams. Although this is not a concept album in any way, there is a red line throughout the album, dealing with youth, growing old, death and finding peace in life.
