DESCRIPTION

Thomas Lang is a Liverpool based singer – songwriter, who was signed to SONY records that produced the albums “Scallywag Jaz” and “Little Moscow”. Lang toured with his band throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, and built up a loyal following, as well as appearing with Jools Holland's band on the TV show The Happening in 1990, and several residencies at the world famous London jazz venue, Ronnie Scott's. He also toured with Alison Moyet and Suzanne Vega.
“The German Alphabet” sees a return to blistering form, the compositional palette of the album covering various influences as jazz, electronica and cinematic musical landscapes…This new album of original material has been described as “… a lush symphonic 60's pop cafe jazz rat pack early Scott walker affair , packed with John Barry string flourishes and Ennio Morricone horn fanfares, coated in Bacharach-esque melodies.”
