Ever since the beginning of the 90‘s, Jörg M. Knittel had the idea to form a death metal band in the vein of Bolt Thrower,
Massacre or the early Celtic Frost. But it took him several years until he found the perfect line-up.
The debut album „Massive Brutality“ was recorded at the House Of Music in Winterbach, Germany in October 2000. This death
metal masterpiece was engineered and mixed by Achim Köhler (Pungent Stench, Totenmond, etc.), and was released in April 2001
via Vile Music / Zomba.
The album received rave reviews and numerous interviews and stories in all important metal magazines and fanzines followed.
René Pfeiffer was forced to end his musical career in the summer of 2001 due to severe tinnitus. A few weeks later, MY
DARKEST HATE was able to come up with two new musicians: Chris Simper on vocals (ex-Pale, ex-Disinfect) and Oliver
Schort on bass.
Following the release of their debut, MY DARKEST HATE received offers from several bigger record companies, and finally
decided to sign with Massacre Records.
