For the first time ever on CD format (view HERE), ASH BORER’s stunning debut album from 2011 (previously only available on cassette and vinyl format) re-mastered for this version, in turn rendering the three tracks more devastating and powerful.
ASH BORER’s self-titled debut surfaced initially on cassette only, after the band’s initial demo and their split 12” with Fell Voices. Even though it was only available on cassette through the band’s own Psychic Violence label, this was the release that would bring awareness to ASH BORER as one of America’s more prominent black metal entities and would be recognized as one of the more prominent American black metal releases that came out in 2011. Likewise, the band would conspire with Profound Lore to release the follow-up full-length “Cold Of Ages” in 2012, again an album which was considered one of the best black metal releases of the year, and naturally a proper re-issue of the self-titled debut became imminent.
Consisting of three massive vitriolic time-stretching hymns, “Ash Borer” has been re-mastered for the CD format in order to experience the sonic power of this album in its penultimate form. The CD comes packaged in a faux-leather gatefold CD jacket with red foil print adorning it with the CD being housed in its own black sleeve for protection.
