RIMFROST caused a lot of excitement among fans and press alike, when the Swedes made their first international appearance at the prestigious Inferno Festival in Oslo (NO). Their fresh approach to the stagnating Black Metal scene combining the epic might and fury of IMMORTAL with the technical intricacy of Nordic Death Metal was about to shake the scene. This unusually strong initial thrill should have been carried on by their debut “A Frozen World Unknown” (2006). Yet due to serious differences with their former label all activities were put on hold and RIMFROST decided to cancel the contract. Now the Swedes are returning with a vengeance and a fresh deal with Season of Mist. RIMFROST finally return to conquer the world as was prophesised to them by many journalists with their second release “Veraldar Nagli”. Translating as “Axis of the World” and meaning the North Star the Swedes combine Pagan Nordic lyrics with their Black Metal roots and exciting influences like early METALLICA-style Thrash and hard hitting Death riffing at times reminiscent of AMON AMARTH. RIMFROST create a unique catchy style of their own, which “Veraldar Nagli” unleashes unto the Metal fans, who have been eagerly waiting for this injection of fresh Black blood!
