Art-punk insider tip BAHNHOF MOTTE provide the soundtrack to time consumption: from the constant higher, faster, further of today's world - from the ever-growing hunger for more, the band is above all one thing: fed up.
Bahnhof Motte take the resulting frustration with them into their new album. The title fits perfectly: ZEIT FRESSEN (Time Consumption). It's about frustration with a world that lives beyond its means. It's about the meritocracy, capitalism, and, last but not least, frustration with themselves, as the band is not free of internal contradictions either. Zeit Fressen is the need to simply make short work of things.
To take everything in and at least once stand above it all, when powerlessness seems so omnipresent today. After recording their first album in the basement of a dry cleaner's, the band has gained a loyal fan base in clubs and at festivals.
The four Motte members bring a wide variety of influences to the table and together create a sound that is second to none. Sometimes wild and angry, then gentle and dreamy. Bahnhof Motte concerts are - in short - journeys through all kinds of emotional states that linger with the audience long after the show is over.
