BORNHOLM was founded in 2000 by guitarist Sahsnot (Péter Sallai) - who was known as Astaroth until 2009 - in Szerencs,
North Hungary.
In 2001 and after a few changes, the band got the opportunity to record the first demo EP
"Awakening Of The Ancient Ones",
which was self-released in 2002.
The debut album "...On The Way Of Hunting The Moon" followed in 2005 and was released on the French label Melancholia
Records, and distributed by labels such as Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Red Stream or Napalm Records. The band shot a video
for the song "Acheron", and was the opening act for bands like Arcturus, Mayhem or Enslaved.
BORNHOLM signed with Massacre Records in August 2016, and will release the new album "Primaeval Pantheons" in December 2016.
