The time has come for a new BURDEN OF GRIEF record and they are out for blood. Every metalhead is called on to 'follow' this hard hitting record. 3 years have passed by since their last album "Death End Road". 3 years in which the band was anything but lazy. After "Death End Road" has been promoted on stages all across Europe and even brought the band to foreign countries such as Estonia and Slovenia. BURDEN OF GRIEF took time-off during the last year to work on "Follow The Flames" intensively. Nothing here should be left out. Since the production of the previous album turned out a little bit too modern, the band decided to engage none other than Swedish producer-legend Dan Swano who is going to give the new album a heavy but natural and organic sound. Musically the band has succeeded to concentrate on their strengths, to combine them and to pack them into 10 hell raising riff monsters, threatening to burst with tons energy, melodies, and variety of grooves that will make you bang your head. It's not easy to put this music into a niche. At first glance you might call it thrash metal. This album features many different elements that go beyond the traditional framework of this genre. In addition to the murderous grooves, fragile acoustic parts and classic thunderous twin-guitar solos, and even a Hammond organ to add more unique sound on their latest album, "Follow The Flames" spreads a lot of classic rockvibes besides the many thrash parts. The bonus-CD that comes along with this album is supposed to be a very special gift by the band for all the fans. This bonus-CD includes 8 cover songs, also produced by Dan Swano! BURDEN OF GRIEF picked these 8 hits for this bonus-CD, without exception classics ranging from 40 years of rock & metal history. For this very special bonus-CD the band has invited some well-known guest musicians into the studio: Dan Swano (Edge Of Sanity) has refined "Break On Through" by The Doors with his unique voice. On "Refuse / Resist" by Sepultura the band gets support from Sabina Classen (Holy Moses). Last but not least "Valhalla" by Blind Guardian frontman Mike of BURDEN OF GRIEF roars together with Gerre (Tankard). All in all, this is an album that most of the other bands would sell as an independent, full-fledged album. BURDEN OF GRIEF just wants to revalue their album and give a very special gift to all their fans.
