Charlie Wood's Your Love Is My Home is a deeply personal album that blends jazz, soul, blues, pop, and Americana into a warm, cohesive musical statement. Recorded in both England and Copenhagen, the album reflects Wood's Memphis roots and his present-day life in Europe, capturing a voice shaped by decades of musical experience and emotional honesty.
The project began informally during Jazzahead in Bremen and grew into a full collaboration with Stunt Records and Sundance Music. Rather than pursuing genre boundaries, Wood focuses on feel, storytelling, and lyrical clarity, drawing from the rich musical traditions of Beale Street and New Orleans while remaining unmistakably himself.
The repertoire includes interpretations of songs by Paul Simon, Sam Cooke, and John Lennon alongside jazz standards such as "Stardust" and "Willow, Weep for Me", as well as Wood's own originals "Home" and "Love Can't Love Alone". His performances on vocals, piano, and organ are supported by an international cast of musicians, creating an organic, soulful ensemble sound.
Warm, generous, and unforced, Your Love Is My Home is an album about love, belonging, and musical connection. It invites the listener into a world of groove, restraint, and quiet emotional depth, offering songs that feel both timeless and deeply human.
