TRACK LIST

To put COLD PROPHET in a category is not that easy, but if a description is needed, the term that we here at TSI have chosen when describing the band is simply: Death-Industrial. Regardless of genre, the world was made aware of Tuomas Tahvanainen and his pernicious intentions as late as in 2022, when the self-titled, double-disc debut album was released. As per the Artists own wishes the release was purposedly marketed in a very discreet and somewhat low-key fashion, but after a while COLD PROPHET became like a whisper in a classroom, or the writings on a classroom wall, because suddenly we noticed that there was a rather extensive demand for more of the Finnish Prophets trademarked void-inducing darkness. Therefore, in summer of 2023, when it was announced that a new album was being made, we were thrilled to say the least, however, before the world will be forced to suffer a whole new full-length, we decided that this EP, “Imperiled Future”, should be revealed beforehand, giving the listeners a 20-minute taste of whatever horrors it is that Mr. Tahvanainen have conjured up from the depths since the debut!
In order to make matters much, much worse for the listener, in pretty much last minute, we decided that the EP should be released as a split album instead. But then who or what artist would be a suitable choice? Having worked on the last SHINING album when he contributed with both cover-art and 6 separate portraits, Max Taccardi, and his foul creation K.F.R was actually our immediate no-brainer choice of poison. Just as Tahvanainen makes his living on providing artwork for other artists, Taccardi too is well-known for his remarkable and often grotesque pieces, which are almost all exclusively painted in his own blood, the music he writes for this utterly fucked up Black Metal project puts the listener in a state of instant displeasure and true discomfort. The two K.F.R songs that is the B-side of the album are also they almost 20 minutes in length when put together, and the first track features Niklas Kvarforth on guest vocals.
