From the foothills of North Carolina, DECEPTION OF A GHOST has really attacked the scene with a new mature, fresh sound. When the underground music scene produces a massive amount of bands, it’s tough to stand out among the crowd. But playing shows relentlessly and touring up and down the East Coast, North Carolina’s DECEPTION OF A GHOST continue to stay on the grind and make a name for themselves. Since early 2009 they have been coming up quickly through the ever-changing scene. DECEPTION OF A GHOST have gained the respect of their fans with their unique sound, while also becoming known statewide among clubs and promoters as the band that brings the crowd. DECEPTION OF A GHOST seems to have set the standard of "how to make it in today’s music business" by booking their own headlining tours all over the US.
Guitarist and vocalist Buddy commented, "We just figured out from the start, we can’t wait for people to make this happen for us, they don’t care, we can do this on our own, shit really pays off!" The band armed with this DIY ethic has set out and played with acts such as IWRESTLEDABEARONCE, FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS, IN FEAR AND FAITH, VANNA, MEMPHIS MAY FIRE, CHELSEA GRIN, STRAY FROM THE PATH, STICK TO YOUR GUNS, GREELEY ESTATES, and more. A collaboration of clean vocal melodies and thick screams blended with an onslaught of breakdowns and their triple harmony guitar attack is what shapes and molds their unique sound. Their freshly recorded album entitled Speak Up, You’re Not Alone was recorded with Jamie King (BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, FOR TODAY, HE IS LEGEND) and is due for release October 2010
