They have already toured Europe and shared the stage with big names in the scene such as Xandria and Freedom Call; now they are set to take off: Dreams in Fragments, the Swiss symphonic metal quartet, are releasing their new album, „Shadows from Afar“. But what exactly do Dreams in Fragments do? Melodic metal? Symphonic metal? Metal with a female lead singer? Although they tick all these boxes, the band’s music transcends these genre boundaries. „Shadows from Afar“, the Swiss quartet’s third album, re-explores these boundaries across ten tracks.

„This Fairytale’s A Lie“, the first single, illustrates this perfectly, as breakneck speed and powerful intensity merge into an epic sweep, and a guitar solo accompanied by horns majestically complements the narrative of the dark underside of a fairy tale.
