ETTA JAMES & BOB DYLAN

On July 10, 1986, a remarkable musical encounter took place in Providence, Rhode Island, between Bob Dylan and Etta James. 

Following his official concert with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers at the Providence Civic Center, Dylan visited the club at the local Marriott Hotel where Etta James was performing. What was intended as a private visit turned into an impromptu jam session. Dylan spontaneously joined in on guitar, accompanied by a top-tier band including Shuggie Otis on guitar and Jack McDuff on organ. These recordings were later broadcast by various local radio stations. Now, these tracks are finally being released on CD.
