2LP set capturing Gary Numan's 1983 live concert from Hammersmith Odeon. Featuring the early hits "Cars", "I Die: You Die", "Love Needs No Disguise", "We Take Mystery (To Bed)" alongside tracks from the Warriors album.
By the early 1980s, Gary Numan had become renowned not only for his innovative music but also for his theatrical live shows and stark, cybernetic persona. 1983's Warriors album was supported by a 40-date UK tour from September to October 1983, Numan's first shows since his Wembley 'Farewell' shows two years prior. The tour was a rousing success, featuring elaborate staging, multiple costume changes and a revitalised Numan in enigmatic form.
Perhaps the finest show of the tour was Numan's third night of a four-night run at London's Hammersmith Odeon on the 15th October 1983, a show that was also broadcast on local radio. With a commanding presence and a setlist spanning old hits and new material, the performance balanced innovation with nostalgia and demonstrated Gary Numan at his most compelling. Sufficiently reenergised after his stint away from touring, the show was a musical tour-de-force that captivated all those in attendance. The entire performance from that electric night is now available for all to enjoy on this new 2LP set.
