The relentless groove of the 90s, purple flashing lights and lots and lots of smoke. GIANT HAZE are 4 musicians from the Kiel stoner rock / hardcore scene who have been on stage together for KYUSS tribute shows.
Creative synergies quickly crystallized within the band and their own songs emerged - Giant Haze was born.
In the late summer of 2024, the debut album ‘Cosmic Mother’ was recorded in the band's own studio and then mixed and mastered by Ulf Nagel. Drums and bass were recorded live in one day to capture the right groove.
The production was done very oldschool without amp modelling, drum triggers or other bells and whistles. It was simply mic'd and recorded with great care and attention to detail.
The spacy artwork was created by guitarist Pete and is symptomatic of the passion and dedication that all band members put into Giant Haze.
The lyrics tell personal stories about the trials and tribulations of life, drugs, lost friends and critical thoughts on social developments and nationalistic tendencies.
