“Speed Metal made in Germany”, that is what you get from Iron Angel. Formed in 1980, the legendary outfit from Hamburg was fed on a diet of Priest, Venom, and Slayer before they set out to create their very own signature mix of different styles. The two demos “Legions of Evil” and “Power Metal Attack” were both released in 1984 and recorded under the most underground conditions possible. But apparently Iron Angel didn’t do so bad at all, as the Rock Hard Magazine from then on counted them among Germany’s most promising newcomers, and their first record label SPV got interested in the Hamburg five-piece.
