This album was first released as an LP in 1971, under the title “Johnny Walker And” with recordings taken from shows the previous year at the Fillmore East and Pirate's World, Dania, Florida. All the tracks on this release are taken from the Fillmore East show. Alongside Winter, the group included guitarist Rick Derringer and bassist Randy Jo Hobbs, both former members of The McCoys, and drummer Bobby Caldwell.
