Knock Off present their seventh album, "Pain Or Madness", a record that holds significance beyond just the band itself in these times. The world has gone completely mad, and it seems as though humanity has forgotten how to resolve conflicts, communicate with one another, and halt the cycle of self-destruction. And when blows strike closer to home and fate deals a harsh hand, it is easy to lose one's footing. Anger, hatred, and aggression - coupled with depression and apathy - or simply put: "Pain or Madness." It was against this backdrop that Knock Off's seventh album came into being. Punk rock has always been at its strongest when times are dark, and this album serves as both musical therapy and an offensive against everything that tears you down. Knock Off continue to play classic UK Oi! and punk rock; while they have perfected their signature style over the years, they still manage to spring surprises along the way. You can feel it in every damn note that these songs come straight from the heart! It's a punch in the face, with no regard for sensitivities - in tracks like "Go Fuck Yourself". There's that feeling when helplessness turns into "Violence". And no need to debate or explain punk, because "My Punk!" is whatever I choose it to be. When the guys look back at "70s Football Youth" or "Good Times", no further explanation is needed; this is and was their life - there's no need to romanticize it. Even today, you can still vent your anger, and Knock Off do so perfectly with tracks like "Anger Is an Energy" or the gritty, self-deprecating anthem "Middle Age Rage". "Pain or Madness" features a dozen new songs: high-energy punk rock anthems with great sing-along choruses alternate with aggressive shouted vocals.
