Hailing from the south-west coast of Ireland, Larry Mathews is no stranger to the big stage, having performed alongside the greats, such as Christy Moore, the Furey Brothers, the famous Dubliners and Achim Reichel. He plays the violin ‘like the speed of the wind’ and his incredible voice lends his songs a ‘raw and rustic feeling’ that is second to none. Larry Mathews produced the highly acclaimed album ‘A Kiss In The Morning Early’ together with his brother Terry, yet is best known as a member of Irish folk band ‘Spailpin’, having notably climbed to a top spot in the Irish charts with the single "The Maggie Thatcher Song", a track infamously banned by RTÉ.
