For its 50th anniversary, rediscover High Time, the debut album by Little Bob Story, which left a lasting mark on the French rock'n'roll scene!
Formed in Le Havre in 1971, Little Bob Story is among the pioneers of French rock. Inspired by 1950s American rock'n'roll, as well as bands like MC5 and Dr. Feelgood, the group led by Roberto Piazza developed an energetic, raw sound deeply rooted in rock tradition.
In 1976, they released their first album, High Time. The record features five original compositions and four covers of major English-speaking rock artists such as Bob Dylan, Little Richard, The Animals, and Willie Dixon. The arrangements, both faithful and energetic, bring a personal touch that helps define the band's identity.
Considered one of the first great French rock albums, High Time is now a must-have for rock'n'roll enthusiasts. It also marks the beginning of a band that would go on to achieve notable success, particularly in England—an uncommon recognition for a French group.
