Released in 1978, Merry Christmas From Pepino The Italian Mouse by Lou Monte remains one of the most distinctive and beloved holiday albums in Italian-American popular music. Although Pepino the Italian Mouse lends the album its title, it is the unforgettable “Dominick the Donkey” that has become a true Christmas standard. With its playful humor, infectious melody and unmistakable Italian flair, the song has delighted generations of listeners and continues to enjoy year-round popularity, even being featured during the seventh-inning stretch at several Major League Baseball parks. A major international success upon release, the album reached the Top 5 in five different countries and remains a seasonal favorite among collectors and Christmas music enthusiasts alike. Long out of print and increasingly difficult to find on vinyl, this festive classic returns in a deluxe edition featuring an OBI side strip, a printed inner sleeve and beautiful RED AND GREEN PINWHEEL VINYL. A joyful holiday treasure for every collection.
