John Fiddler (guitar, vocals) and Peter Hope-Evans (harmonica) were the group to inspire DJ John Peel to found his Dandelion label. They were also his best-selling act . Along with Jethro Tull, Tyrannosaurus Rex and Family, Medicine Head were one of the groups to cross over from underground to chart in the late 60s/early 70s without losing credibility. This is the first ever compilation CD to combine the best of Dandelion-era tracks with later Polydor hits – hence Very Best Of.
