Pecksniff are one of the most appreciated "indiepop" band in Italy since their succesfull debut Elementary Watson, licensed by their own label Merendina in January 2003. "The Book Of Stanley Creep" is the second full lenght for these six guys from Colorno (Parma). Inspired by indie-pop and the typical US lo-fi (especially the more slacky Pavement tunes), with their last work The book of Stanley Creep, Pecksniff give us a delicious sequence of ten songs suspended between folk-pop and lo-fi that bring's back to childhood, due to the use of toys as instruments together with more traditional ones (acoustic guitar, bass, electric guitar and drums) and the use of voices amazingly combinated (creating a technicolor sound landscape). Perfect and essential melodies with a disarming simplicity for a new, delicious folk pop jewel.
