After more than 10 years of radio silence and 40 years of band history, the Swiss hard rock band Rash Panzer released the successful album ‘Liberation’ in December last year. The follow-up is now set to build on their success and is the real story of how Rash Panzer came to be. Liberation’ was about getting our freedom back, “Born to Rock‘n Roll” is about how we use it, says band leader and singer JJay Guertchakoff.
The band was founded in 1979 in Geneva, Switzerland, and has been serving its fans hard, powerful and handmade rock music straight to the point ever since. After their single ‘Heavy Leaders’ in 1984, Rash Panzer released their first EP, ‘Rock “n Roll Street”, in 1988, which was produced by Dennis Weinreich (Jeff Beck, Procol Harum etc.). The following year, they toured the US East Coast extensively and even made it into the US charts. Back in Europe, they recorded the album ‘Rated X’, this time produced by Rudy Lenners (Scorpions). This was followed by another live album, ‘Wild, Raw and Live’, before things slowly quietened down for the band. In 2013, Rash Panzer made their acclaimed comeback with the album ‘Back on the Rocks’. However, it took another 10 years for the band to show signs of life again with the release of the album ‘Liberation’ in 2023.
But here Rash Panzer are: louder, harder and more motivated than ever before! ‘Born To Rock ‘n’ Roll’ is a bold exclamation mark for the fact that you are never too old for good hard rock, whether you are a musician or a fan!
