TRACK LIST

Irish blues and rock guitarist, performer and songwriter Rory Gallagher was born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland in 1948. Bought up in in Cork, Gallagher’s solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and his work with Taste during the late 1960s, marked this fine multi-instrumentalist out as a dynamic force to be reckoned with. Despite not becoming a household name, his albums sold over 30 million copies worldwide during his career and since his sad, untimely death in 1995, following complications from a liver transplant. Rory was only 47 at the time.
In early 1982 Rory put out his seventh studio album, the critically well received Jinx, a largely self-composed affair, chock-full of great tunes and - of course - some superb playing by Gallagher plus long-term band members Gerry McAvoy on bass and Brendan O ‘Neill on drums. Bob Andrews from The Rumour played keyboards on the record. Gallagher and his band hit the road following the album’s release and in August of ’82 were in Germany where they performed at the Loreley Open Air Festival on Saturday 28th.
