CLASSIC ROCK VINYLBOX (4LP)

The term 'Classic Rock' has been around in the USA for many years, but in Germany the term had to gradually establish itself. It encompasses the spectrum between AOR and hard rock, with many facets. This vinyl box set captures that full range. There's hardly any need to say much about MOLLY HATCHET. Alongside LYNYRD SKYNYRD, they are counted amongst the most successful and important Southern rock bands and are still active today. RICK DERRINGER sadly passed away in 2025, but he left us with immortal music not only through his first band, THE MCCOYS ("Hang On Sloopy"), but above all as a solo artist. This body of work is compiled on the LP "Beyond The Universe". JOHNNY BLACK actually comes from the punk scene, but even within that genre there are bands that can be categorised differently. His LP, which has been highly praised by the press, features an accessible mix of classic rock, hard rock and 70s rock – some of which has hit potential. A little more attention should be paid to the band FLOATING OPERA, whose sole LP features a sophisticated blend of classic rock, Krautrock and prog rock. This fitted perfectly with the waning 1970s and the early 1980s. FLOATING OPERA is the hidden secret weapon in this box set. All the LPs have been remastered for vinyl!
