WEERD SCIENCE is Josh Eppard's life-long love. The name came up when Josh wrote the name in his own blood. As shocking as that sounds, WEERD SCIENCE's existence lives in that shocking and real story. His job is the drummer for COHEED AND CAMBRIA but his life is for hip-hop. For 11 years in upstate New York, Josh has been writing and performing these songs and the culmination is the Super Rap/Equal Vision Records release Friends and Nervous Breakdowns. The album is going to shock and surprise the listener with tongue-in-cheek lyrics intermixed with real true-life stories from Josh's past. Stories about the music industry, his childhood bullying and terrorism all give a way for him to release his energy through rhyme. Friends and Nervous Breakdowns leave you thinking about Josh's intentions while you read into the words and decide to take things as a joke or to the heart. With blazing beats and years of rhyming, this album is not what a typical side-project should sound like. Its got a punk rock attitude intermixed with an understanding of hip-hop and the respect it deserves.
