Borgerlig Begravning is the band that, in just a few years, has gone from being "Sweden's youngest punk band" to becoming one of the country's most appreciated live bands within the scene.
The band consists of cousins Julian, Frans, and Eddie, who, after watching a performance by Jönssonligan & Asta Kask, decided to start their own band.
Their first gig was as the opening act for Jönssonligan. The guys quickly made a name for themselves within the Swedish punk scene, playing with established bands like Asta Kask and Mimikry in their first year as a band.
After releasing a handful of vinyl singles, the band released their debut album, "Gör Vad Du Vill" and Borgerlig Begravning quickly became a favorite among a new generation of punk fans.
Now, it's finally time for album number two. Together with Jugglo Wall, the band entered Kapsylen's Studio 77 and recorded 12 songs.
The title of the new record is "Parasite," and with influences from bands like Asta Kask, Bad Religion, GBH, and Ramones, the band has created an album that will make people understand just how great punk can be.
During the spring, Borgerlig Begravning toured with Charta 77 & Köttgrottorna, solidifying their position as the breath of fresh air that Punk Sweden needs!
