The Demonstration Tapes consists of seasoned musicians with their feet planted firmly in music history. We grew up in an era where American culture—music, film, literature—served as a guiding light. Throughout our lives, our relationship with the US has been marked by friction, yet equally driven by respect, curiosity, and love. As the country celebrates 250 years of independence in 2026, we offer our nod to the celebration with a healthy dose of ambivalence.
THE DEMONSTRATION TAPES presents SECOND AMENDMENT: 11 new tracks born out of love and a hint of despair. We are halfway through the project, with 25 states to go. We're keeping our fingers crossed that there's still something left to celebrate when we reach the finish line.
