W.A.S.P. first exploded onto a raucous 80’s metal scene in 1984 with their genre-defining eponymous debut album ‘W.A.S.P.’ With an unwavering swagger, a singular image & their fair share of controversy to boot, W.A.S.P quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the world of heavy metal. Recorded at Los Angeles’ Record Plant in the summer of 1984 & produced/co-produced by frontman Blackie Lawless & Shrapnel Records founder Mike Varney respectively, ‘W.A.S.P.’ was the first & remains one of the finest, examples of a band with little regard for the rules, an outlaw attitude & the razor-sharp music to back it all up. 

Having celebrating its 40th anniversary with a special reissue by Madfish last year, this edition of ‘W.A.S.P.’ is pressed on standard black vinyl & remastered at half-speed for optimum sound quality, capturing the raw energy & rebellious spirit that made W.A.S.P. a cornerstone of 80’s metal. 

W.A.S.P. continue to dominate stages worldwide with European headline dates and South American festivals already confirmed for 2025, the band remain as fierce and vital as ever.
